UPDATE: Preprae for water outages as last phase of maintenance continues
Residents may experience supply disruptions, from low water pressure to dry taps.
Many residents of Boksburg and Benoni are expected to experience intermittent water supply disruptions as the last phase of the Rand Water’s water infrastructure maintenance continues in some parts of these areas.
The water utility had previously warned that its teams would embark on an extensive maintenance phased over the period between June 15 and end of July. The project focuses on the infrastructure supplying water to different parts of Ekurhuleni and other municipalities in Gauteng province.
Residents may experience supply disruptions, from low water pressure to dry taps.
The following areas may be impacted by the work being done in the last phase:
Boksburg: From 05:00 July 29 – 21:00 July 30 – Impala Park, Witkoppie Ridge, Beyers Park, Westwood, Anderbolt, Ravenswood, Bartlett, Bardene, Atlasville, Parkhaven and Jet Park.
Benoni: From 03:00 on July 26 – 08:00 July 29 – Morehill, Crystal Park, Putfotein AH, Benoni AH, Cloverdene, Chief Albert Luthuli, Daveyton, Mayfield and Etwatwa.
