Learners show heart

“Quality education starts by showing heart.”

Learners at Mindpro Academy in Atlasville ditched their books, opting to spend July 19 on the streets.

The group of 14 students partnered with Kuselo Child Care Agency delivering hearty soup, treats and teddies to children and adults across the city.
Starting in Sky Street, Boksburg North, teachers of the school promptly tasked learners with various duties.

Jason Fourie (15) and Raiden-Lee de Beer (14) prepare to serve hearty soup.

“Our school is built on a heart and care for others,” said principal Madelein Venter.
“Partnering with Kuselo allowed us to not only extend a loving hand to members of our community, but offered our learners the opportunity to serve others.
“Whether it was a heartfelt smile, a courteous greeting or giving a teddy to a child, the learners felt, if only for a moment, they impacted the life of another.”

Under the guidance of Amanda Coetzee, founder of Kuselo the youths further visited Villa Liza and Madeley Road in Jansen Park to spread joy.

Learners from Mindpro Academy, Atlasville partnered with Kuselo Child Care Agency to shower some of the city’s residents with food, teddies and treats. They are seen here in Sky Street, Boksburg North.
