The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is urging community members to support its upcoming mobile blood drives this winter.
Members of the SANBS will be ready to assist the donors at the following mobile blood drives:
July 6
Bokkie Park, from 09:00 till 14:00.
July 11
St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls, from 09:00 till 14:00.
July 15
Boksburg High School, from 09:00 till 14:00.
July 16
Hoërskool Voortrekker High, from 09:00 till 14:00.
July 17
Sunward Park Performance High School, from 09:00 till 14:00.
July 20
Thrive Church Boksburg, from 09:00 till 16:00.
July 27
Boksburg North CPF Winter Market Day at 144 Ridge Road, from 09:00 till 15:00.
July 30
• Laerskool Concordia, 10:30 till 15:30
• Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen, time to be confirmed.

Furthermore, the blood donor centre at the East Rand Mall is open from 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 09:00 to 15:00 on weekends and public holidays.
Donors must meet the minimum criteria for donating blood, which are as follows:
• Weigh at least 50kg.
• Be between the ages of 16 and 65.
• Be in good health.
• Leading a sexually safe lifestyle.
• Consider your blood safe for transfusion.
• You may only donate every 56 days.
