#WinterWoolDrive: Pensioner gives our project a boost with wool donation

The Advertiser is thankful for the donation and urges community members to also get behind the project.

Boksburg Advertiser’s Winter Wool Drive received a welcome boost thanks to Cosmos Old Age Home resident Yvonne Pohl (88), who donated wool last week.

Knitting and donating to the less fortunate is what Pohl loves doing to make a difference in the lives of others.

“Since I moved to Cosmos 12 years ago, I have contributed to the project. For me, it’s just a way to help others,” she said.

Wool donations will help the Advertiser support various local groups that knit teddies and other items for distribution to the Cancer Association of SA and organisations that look after the underprivileged, especially in winter.

Community members can make their contributions until July 31.
