Wife arrested after allegedly stabbing and killing husband

The man was stabbed in the chest.

A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her 44-year-old husband to death, in Clarence September Street, Reiger Park, in the early hours of February 25.

According to Reiger Park SAPS spokesperson Constable Johannes Msimanga, police found the man lying in a yard with a stab wound to the chest.

The wife was arrested and charged with murder (domestic violence-related) after police spoke to witnesses.

The spokesperson could not divulge more information.

Investigations continue.

The woman will make another appearance in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court today (March 1).

This incident comes after a 22-year-old man was shot dead in the same street on February 17.

Police found the victim on the ground with a bullet wound to the chest.

Furthermore, the slain Shayden Theron from the city’s stormwater department, was laid to rest in Clarence September Street.

Theron was shot at least 13 times on Commissioner Street on February 9 while he and his colleagues were removing waste and cleaning grass at around midday.
Last year, the Boksburg Advertiser reported on murders that continued to plague Reiger Park.

A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death in front of Reiger Park Secondary School on the evening of December 12.

On the same day, a 50-year-old man ended up in hospital after being shot multiple times while waiting in a car in Clarence September Street.
Other recent murders in the area:
• Jade Vries (17) was killed by two armed robbers on Princess Avenue in Delmore Gardens on October 27.
• Levano Visagie (17) and Dillon Riddles (28) were killed in the vicinity of Cosmos Street, Reiger Park, on October 31.
