Woman killed in car crash in Boksburg North
The other passengers sustained minor injuries.
A motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 5th Street and 10th Avenue, Boksburg North, claimed the life of a woman on the afternoon of February 12.
Information regarding the accident remains sketchy, but the City of Ekurhuleni’s DEMS spokesperson William Ntladi said it involved two light motor vehicles.
Those involved include a male driver in a Hyundai bakkie and three woman in a Mercedes Benz sedan.
“A rescue team from Leon Ferreira Fire Station responded with four crew members using rescue pumper. On arrival, one female from the sedan had to be declared dead on scene due to intense injuries sustained.
“Two others escaped with minimal injuries whilst the Hyundai bakkie driver as well escaped with minimal injuries,” said Ntladi.
The patients were taken to the nearest hospital for medical care.
Ntladi added the scene was handed over to the law enforcement unit for investigation purposes.
