Brace yourself for a seven-hour-long power outage
The City of Ekurhuleni has announced a seven-hour planned power outage in large parts of Boksburg.
The CoE advises residents in some parts of Boksburg to prepare for a planned power outage that will be implemented on February 10.
According to metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the city will be implementing a shutdown at the Les Smith substation to carry out maintenance work. This will be from 09:00 to 16:00.
Affected areas include Boksburg Central, Boksburg East Industrial, Freeway Park, Sunward Park, Parkrand and Libradene.
Residents are advised to treat electrical networks as live at all times while work is ongoing.
