Regarding the Pets suffer fireworks hell article on the front page of Boksburg Advertiser dated January 12, I would like to inform you of the following:
I phoned the metro call centre twice on December 24 after fireworks went off close to Sunward Park.
Both times, two different call centre agents answered but could not hear what I wanted to report.
I reported it to the councillor but she didn’t do anything about it.
Maybe if the call centre number actually worked, then the illegal fireworks would have been stopped and animals protected.
The same people who are supposed to protect are causing harm.
