Zamokuhle Vilakazi from Beyers Park was recently crowned Miss Hotlegs South Africa 2023 at The Barnyard Theatre at Emperors Palace.
“It still feels surreal. I had doubts along the way, but I had set my mind to do my best and have fun no matter what,” said Zamokuhle.
The 24-year-old management graduate said she wants to reiterate the message of second chances during her reign.
“That young ladies shouldn’t let growing up dull their shine and that any of their dreams are still possible. I want to help mentor young ladies, focusing on not seeking perfection but allowing themselves to be anything and everything all at once and ensuring they are focused on self-development and self-awareness because that’s where they can connect with their society and visa versa.”
Zamokuhle will now represent SA in an upcoming pageant, of which the details are yet to be confirmed.
