Centre needs help to recover from storm damage

If you can help, contact Andrew Wessels at andrew@mangercare.co.za or 065 514 8068.

The Manger Care Centre (MCC) is appealing for urgent assistance following damage caused by a recent storm to its Benoni and Pretoria branches.

According to the MCC’s Andrew Wessels, both branches suffered significant damage, which posed immediate challenges for the residents and staff members.

The affected branches include the headquarters, Eden and Bonna Batema in Benoni, as well as Manger Marine, in Pretoria.

The damage to their infrastructure and resources mean that they are currently operating under strenuous conditions, making it challenging to provide their usual level of care and support.

“It’s heart-breaking to see the destruction the storm has caused, especially when we think of the vulnerable individuals who rely on our facilities. We are determined to rebuild and continue serving our community, but we need all the help we can get,” said Wessels.

Monetary donations can be made directly to their Nedbank account: 1288 135 440.

For those who wish to contribute in the form of goods or services, or for more information on how you can help, please contact Wessels at andrew@mangercare.co.za or call 065 514 8068.

“In these trying times, the resilience and unity of our community become our greatest strengths. Let us rally together and support Manger Care Centre in their hour of need, ensuring that they can continue their invaluable work,” he said.
