Help the SPCA this Christmas

Community members can support the Cheer Fund until the end of the first week of January.

The Boksburg SPCA calls on the community to support its annual Christmas Cheer Fund, which will run until the end of the first week of January.

Last year, the society opened the fund in November with a goal of R100 000 and exceeded it by R27 044, thanks to the supportive community.

Again this year, the Boksburg SPCA aims to raise R100 000 through the Christmas Cheer Fund.

The Boksburg SPCA finds its kennels overwhelmed during the Christmas period.

The fund’s purposes are to raise money to feed the furry critters, get a new dog trap, do 10 outreach sterilisations, obtain a dental kit for the clinic and new kennel fronts for the puppy block.

The community is encouraged to get involved by honouring past and present pets through donations – no amount is too small.

To donate to the fund, visit the society on Railway Street, Boksburg, or deposit the donation into the bank account:
Boksburg SPCA, Absa Bank, branch code 632005, account number 4046388139.
Beneficiary reference: Christmas Cheer and your name/anonymous. It’s important to state that the payment is for the Christmas Cheer Fund.

Those who support the initiative can be mentioned on the Boksburg Advertiser’s website.

For more information, call the SPCA on 011 916 5907.
