Forget the allergies! Soak in the beauty among the dryness on Melville Koppies

Plants are revelling in longer days and warmer temperatures on Melville Koppies.

Many of us struggling with dust and pollen allergies, eagerly awaiting the rain to fall to settle the dust.

On Melville Koppies, plants are revelling in longer days and warmer temperatures.

Dainty spring flowers relish being taller than the recently burnt grass, while the delicate fragrance of the buds on many bushes and trees wafts around you as you wander on the y paths through the koppies.

Even the flowers that shoot from bulbs are coming into their own, while the underground tree, the sand apple (dwarf mobile plum), is covering the koppies in its shiny-leafed carpet.

Book a guided tour, do a self-guided walk along the many paths or challenge yourself on the 5km hike.

There is safe parking (opposite the Melville Koppies entrance) at Marks Park Sports Club in Judith Road, Emmarentia.
