Have you seen Ice?

Ice, a Siberian husky, was last seen on the evening of July 11.

A Beyers Park family is desperate to get their beloved dog back.

Ice, an eight-year-old Siberian husky, went missing from their home two months ago, and the family is offering a R4 000 reward.

According to the owner, Helene Emmenis, Ice was last seen on the evening of July 11 when a man in a white double-cab Hilux picked her up on Louis Botha Road in Beyers Park.

”When we noticed she had gotten out of the yard, I immediately made sure it was circulated in our community groups so people could be on the lookout for her.
“Somebody responded to the post, saying they had found her. When we got to this person, he explained a man in a Hilux had already picked Ice up, claiming it was his dog,” said Emmenis.

The family has tried everything to find their pet.

“I have even spoken to an animal communicator. It is unbelievable that somebody could hide her so well,” said the owner.
“It’s impossible that nobody saw anything. I also don’t know anybody in this neighbourhood with such a bakkie. We have contacted SPCAs and vets in the vicinity.
“People have contacted me about the reward, but nothing constructive came from it. I will need proof, like a video, that they have my dog before I hand over the reward.”

Emmenis said they still wish for Ice’s safe return.

“Ice is part of a family who loves her so much. She is a daughter taken from her parents. We appeal to the man who took to bring her back. You will get the reward money for her safe return. No questions asked,” she added.
