Juniors show up for BNCC trials

The club looked for players to form part of their juniors’ set-up for the upcoming season.

The future of the Benoni Northerns Cricket Club (BNCC) looks bright after hundreds of hopefuls showed up for their try-outs on August 5 and 6 at the Northerns nets.

Dressed in their whites and eager to impress, the players unleashed their talent when the time for action arrived, with the scouts watching keenly.

The event was a testament to the abundance of talent in Benoni because the nets were a hive of activity, with bowlers displaying their spin and seam prowess and batsmen showing good skills with the bat.

Shiloh Scott tried out for the U10s.

The youngsters selected on both days will form part of the club’s junior set-up for the Eastern Cricket Union’s juniors’ cricket season in October.

BNCC seniors’ trials

The BNCC invited senior players who would like to play for the club to go for trials this weekend (August 12) at 14:00 at the club’s nets at Benoni Northerns Sports Club.
