Round Table celebrates 70 years
Heeding the call to make an impactful change, for 70 years, the local club has had several community outreach projects.
Round Table Boksburg 17 will host a gala event to celebrate its milestone 70th birthday on September 2.
Chairperson of the local Table, Cuan Maizey, encouraged stakeholders to support the event at their clubhouse on 32 Lancaster Road at 18:00.
“Guests can look forward to sharing the history and successes of the Table. There will also be delicious food,” said Maizey.
RSVP by no later than August 25.
Heeding the call to make an impactful change, for 70 years, the local club has had several community outreach projects, with the Winter Knights project most prominent.
Winter Knights is a homegrown and hands-on Round Table SA project aiding the less fortunate during winter by collecting blankets, clothing and non-perishable food.
In particular, Round Table offers an opportunity for men aged 18 to 40 to make new friends from their community, area, country and the world. It is also an excellent vehicle for self-improvement in public speaking, leadership, project management, and meeting procedures.
The Boksburg Table meets every second Tuesday of the month.
