News from the newsroom: Welcome, interns!

The Benoni City Times and Boksburg Advertiser welcomed two new interns to their newsrooms on March 3.

As part of a formal internship programme between Caxton Local Media and the Tshwane University of Technology, the interns will be working for the newspapers for six months and have the opportunity to work on both publications, under the mentorship of news editors Fanie Mthupha (Boksburg Advertiser) and Ntombikayise Sibeko (Benoni City Times).

Boitumelo Komape resides in Windmill Park and is a third-year journalism student at TUT. She matriculated from Villa Liza Secondary School in 2019.

Buhle Langimani lives in Vosloorus and matriculated at Thutomfundo CLC in 2019. She is also a third-year journalism student at TUT.

We wish them well in the exciting journey ahead.
