Course to help those suffering from divorce trauma

Trinity Community Church in Sunward Park tackles social issues that affect their communities.

Trinity Community Church will hold a divorce care course next month for people who are separated, going through a divorce, or recently divorced.

The course runs over 13 weeks and is presented at the church on a Tuesday from 18:30 to about 20:30.

Trinity Community Church understands what comes with the stigma of divorce and knows of many people going through a separation.

The course aims to give pastoral, mental and general care to those going through a divorce or a separation.

The course costs R100 and includes a workbook.

“Participants are encouraged to share their feelings in a safe environment.

One of the principles we adhere to is that any information shared during the discussion will remain strictly confidential.

“To assist with this, we limit the number of participants to no more than 12. We are able and willing to accommodate three courses a year, depending on the numbers.

“We help people according to their growth. If we see the person still needs our services, we advise them to do the course again,” said the manager of the church, Dieter Krauss.
