Lesché Lombaard was recently appointed the new lifestyle consultant at Witfield Park Retirement Village.
Lombaard studied social work at North-West University and worked at child protection organisations for two years.
“I have always had a passion and a love of older people, therefore, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with them.
“Senior citizens are often forgotten, but they have a special place in my heart,” said the 25-year-old Kempton Park resident.
Her dream is to have programmes or groups that every resident at Witfield Park can relate to and be a part of.
“Every person has a unique personality and skills that can add value to the lifestyle programmes. I want to get to know most of the residents and build a close relationship with them over the years. Everyone deserves to feel heard and appreciated.
“Older persons still have a lot to offer, they just need the opportunity to show it. I want the residents to live life to the fullest at Witfield Park. It is a blessing for me to be part of the lives of so many special residents.”
