WATCH: Get involved in the golf day to help gas tanker victims

The proceeds of the golf day will directly provide practical and emotional support to those who have been affected by the fatal explosion.

As the golf day in aid of the victims of the Christmas Eve gas tanker explosion in Plantation draws nearer, the event organisers are renewing their appeal for support.

AIDA Boksburg is hosting the golf day in partnership with Tuckers Attorneys and Hammond Pole Attorneys at ERPM Golf Course on March 28.
It will also be the perfect networking opportunity for business people, suppliers and customers.

Update
The organising team also issued an update on the progress of their ongoing preparations, saying at least 30 supporters had signed up for a four-ball by March 23 and that more four-balls are still available.

If you are interested in joining the teams on Tuesday then contact Denver Ramnath on 083 263 8576 or 011 917 3135.
A four-ball costs R1 800. This includes a halfway-house meal, drinks and dinner. Registration will start at 09:30 and tee-off is at 10:00.

Event opening

Ward councillor Marius de Vos will welcome everyone and golfer Tumelo Matlou, regional sales manager at Nedbank, will do the honorary start.

There will be welcome drinks on arrival compliments of the Red Square ladies and a group photo opportunity at 09:45.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for lucky attendees to stand a chance of taking sponsored prizes home, as well as live entertainment from 17:00 to 21:00 by Nadine and David.

More donations
The team welcomes donations of prizes for the raffle and donations of pre-loved items for the victims.
These items can be dropped off at the event on the day.
The second-hand goods can include clothing, pet food and any items that you wish to donate to the victims.
According to Ramnath, the proceeds of the golf day will directly provide practical and emotional support to those who have been affected by the fatal explosion.
