Motorcyclist killed, girl (10) injured in North Rand Road crash
Paramedics arrived shortly before 07:30.
A man riding a motorcycle died, and his 10-year-old passenger was critically injured, after a collision with a bakkie on North Rand Road yesterday morning, March 12.
“When the ER24 paramedics arrived shortly before 07:30, they found a biker showing no signs of life.
Unfortunately, he was declared dead.
“The 10-year-old girl sustained critical injuries, and the paramedics immediately initiated advanced life support interventions. She was treated on the scene before being airlifted to hospital for further medical care,” explained the ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen.
Van Huyssteen said those travelling in the bakkie were not hurt.
“The exact circumstances of the incident are unknown, but the police were on the scene for further investigations.”
The Boksburg North SAPS have not yet responded to our request for more information on the incident.
