Driver entrapped, seriously injured in rear-end collision

A 43-year-old man was seriously injured in a rear-end vehicle collision between his bakkie and a TLB this morning, on Rondebult Road in Sunward Park.

ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell said ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at 10:55 and found the driver of the bakkie entrapped in his vehicle.
“He was extricated by our team and treated with advanced life support interventions before being transported to a private hospital for further care.

The driver of the grader was uninjured in the collision,” said Campbell.
Police are investigating the crash.
