Litter Bugs Benoni invites residents to a ‘wetland clean-up’ to be held in Atlasville on November 5.
The initiative, organised to rid the wetland bordered by Goedeburg, Venus and Goud streets, will kick off at 08: 00 and run until 10:00.
Refuse bags will be provided, but supporters are requested to bring their own refreshments, gloves, rakes, spades, litter pickers and other relevant tools. If you can assist with a bakkie or trailer, let the organisers know.
Litter Bugs also collects clean polystyrene bottle tops, bread tags and unwanted spectacles.
