Metro catching up on waste removal in Boksburg

The metro apologised for the inconvenience caused.

The City of Ekurhuleni embarked on a waste removal catch-up plan on October 1 and 2.

Metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini explained the catch-up schedule is set to address the waste removal backlog in Boksburg.

The suburbs of Parkrand, Falcon Crest, Boksburg South, Libradene, Cinderella. Parkdene and Boksburg were serviced on October 1.

Meanwhile, Boksburg North, Ravenswood, Delmore Park, Delmore Gardens, Plantation and Comet Mine House were serviced on October 2.

Residents are advised to keep their 240L wheelie bins in their yards and take them out on the dates mentioned above while the city is working on finding a permanent solution.

The city will provide constant updates to affected residents as and when there are new developments in resolving the backlogs through ward councillors and customer relations management.
