#16DaysofActivism: Ekurhuleni social workers ready to assist victims of GBV at customer centres

The social work services are available free of charge

The City of Ekurhuleni will on November 25 join the world in observing the 16 Days Of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

In lending a hand to the fight against gender-based violence, the city urges victims of GBV and residents in distress to make use of social workers available at customer care centres (CCC) across Ekurhuleni.

The 16 Days campaign runs until December 10.
The theme for this year is, ‘Socio-Economic Rights and Empowerment to Build Women’s Resilience Against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide: Connect, Collaborate, Contract!’.
“The city strongly condemns any acts of violence and the scourge of GBV in the country. The city works closely with civil society and NPOs to ensure no violence throughout the year,” said metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
