Murder case is again postponed

The matter will resume on December 14.

Impala Park resident Evan Swanson (73), who allegedly shot and killed his neighbour, returned to the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on November 30.

Swanson is charged with murder for shooting Klaas du Toit (37) twice in the upper body on August 18, which he indicated to the court was in self-defence.

The court granted Swanson R5 000 bail on September 4, with the condition he resides with his daughter in Edenvale until the court finalises the matter. He must also report to the Edenvale Police Station every Friday.

In a previous appearance on October 23, Swanson indicated he wanted the bail conditions amended. The matter was postponed to December 14 for the bail amendment.
