The Boksburg North SAPS are investigating a case of culpable homicide after an unidentified pedestrian was killed in an apparent hit-and-run crash this morning (Wednesday).
The incident happened on the corner of 4th Street and Trichardts Road near the public swimming pool.
Boksburg North SAPS station commander Colonel Mack Mngomezulu said officers responding to the report of a pedestrian who had been hit found the victim, possibly a homeless person, lying on the road. They did not find the involved vehicle.
Police described the victim as a male wearing black clothes and a reflective jacket.
Authorities now ask for help to locate the vehicle and driver suspected of being involved in the incident. They also need assistance to identify the victim.
