Impala Park man back in court on November 30

Swanson reportedly shot Du Toit twice in the upper body.

The 73-year-old Impala Park resident Evan Swanson, who allegedly shot and killed his neighbour, is expected to be back in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on November 30.

Swanson appeared in court on November 10, where they postponed the matter to amend his bail conditions.

He is charged with murder for shooting Klaas du Toit (37) twice in the upper body on August 18, which he indicated to the court was in self-defence.

The court granted Swanson bail of R5 000 bail on September 4 with the condition he resides with his daughter in Edenvale until the court finalises the matter. He must also report to the Edenvale Police Station every Friday.

In a previous appearance on October 23, Swanson indicated he wanted the bail conditions to be amended.
