Man accused of killing his partner to be back in court in November

The matter will resume on November 29.

The family of Mabore Onicca Raboshakga (34), who was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend on July 2 at her house in Carnival Green, picketed outside the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court when Vincent Madonda appeared on October 18.

Friends and members of the EFF supported the picketing.

The court postponed Madonda’s case to November 29 for further investigation.

Bridget Thusi, MMC for Health and Social Development and SRAC and EFF national GBV desk coordinator spoke to the Boksburg Advertiser outside the court, saying the party is against gender-based violence.
“Many times, the perpetrators get away, even when there is evidence. We are here to monitor the case and support the victim’s family,” she said.

The Ekurhuleni district SAPS spokesperson, Captain Neldah Sekgobela, previously said Raboshakga called the accused to bring back her car after they exchanged cars on the day of the incident.

“Upon Madonda’s arrival, an argument broke out between the two and he allegedly stabbed Raboshakga. Paramedics declared her dead on the scene,” explained Sekgobela.
She added the Dawn Park police were called to the scene of the crime.

“They opened a case of murder and arrested Madonda at the crime scene,” stated Sekgobela.
Madonda was denied bail on July 14.

The spokesperson for Raboshakga’s family, Manoko, said it is still difficult for the family to pick up the pieces.

“She was still young and had a lot to do. She leaves behind a 12-year-old daughter. She was a loving mother and a cherished member of our family. She was a woman of strength, resilience, and kindness. Her untimely passing has left a void that cannot never be filled. She was the glue that kept everything together,” said Manoko.
