Body found near taxi rank

A broken bottle with blood stains was reportedly found next to the body.

The body of an unknown man was found along First Road, near the East Rand Mall Taxi Rank at around 07:00, on September 15.

The police have not yet confirmed the details surrounding the incident, but according to the Legendary Guardians security company director, Clinton Festraets, security personnel received a call about the body from a passer-by at 07:00 and they arrived at the scene and secured the area.

According to Festraets, it appears that the man suffered stab wounds and bruises. Festraets said a broken bottle with blood stains was found next to the body.

He added that they handed over the crime scene to the Boksburg North police. However, the police have not yet responded to our request for more information.
