Boksburg SAPS has confirmed that a 37-year-old man was shot dead at a fuel station in Trichardts Road, Parkdene, today (March 17).

According to Boksburg SAPS station commander Colonel Matshedeso Mbele, the incident occurred at 10:50 and it appears to have been a targeted attack.

“Information gathered at the scene indicates the victim arrived at the fuel station and went into the shop.

“When he came back out and was approaching his car, a Haval stopped and a male got out and shot the man.
“He died on the scene,” said Mbele.

The motive for the murder is unknown and investigations continue.
