Flying squad nabs four suspects, recovers two vehicles

Four suspects aged between 26 and 35 were arrested.

Members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) arrested four suspects and recovered two vehicles on February 28.

At 09:45, the unit received information that community-monitored surveillance cameras in Boksburg North had flagged a suspected stolen silver Honda Brio at a centre on Trichardts Road.

“Officers were immediately dispatched to its location and established that the vehicle was reported as stolen in Jeppe last October,” said Warrant Officer Grant Giblin, the BFS spokesperson.
“The driver of the vehicle was arrested.”

Again acting on information, unit members arrested two suspects after they were found in possession of a white Nissan Hardbody in Leydes Street, Morehill.
The vehicle was reported as stolen in Linden in November.
In a separate incident, a suspect was arrested on Kingsway Street, Brakpan, after he was found to be in possession of Mandrax.
