Court in Brief

The following cases were recently finalised at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court recently:

Assault
Nathan Delani (23) from Reiger Park was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment, wholly suspended for five years, and declared unfit to possess a firearm, on December 12, for assault.

He pleaded guilty and was found guilty the day he was sentenced.

On September 6, he hit a woman with clenched fists.

Magistrate Viviers presided and prosecutor Lingani represented the State.

Theft
Phumlane Patrick Mavundla (33) from Johannesburg was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm, on December 6, for theft.

He pleaded guilty on November 15 and was found guilty on December 6.

On November 7, she stole two Guess T-shirts valued at R899.94.

Magistrate Viviers presided and prosecutor Lingani represented the State.
