Protesters pitch up in Bartlett to ‘help Belinda pack’

Magor was arrested in Putfontein after Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi opened a case of crimen injuria against her at Boksburg North SAPS.

Members of the Azanian People’s Organisation (Azapo) picketed outside a complex in Leith Road, Bartlett, on November 28.

It is believed to be the previous workplace of the 60-year-old Belinda Magor, who is allegedly behind a voice note calling for black men to be banned instead of pit bulls.

According to Azapo deputy president Kekeletso Kheno, the gathering was about sending a message to Magor and all racists in South Africa.

“We will no longer accept an apology. People say hurtful things and then say ‘we are sorry’. We are no longer accepting it.

“If you are unhappy sharing our land with us, please leave. If we ever find you saying the things Magor said, we will come to your company or house and drag you by your ears to the airport. You are not welcome in this country.

“We wanted to find Belinda and help her pack. Racists must know that we are tired and that we will no longer tolerate it,” she said.

Protesters were seen wielding placards that read, ‘We will not tolerate racism and racists’ and ‘If you hate black people get out of Azania’.

Police were on the scene to monitor the situation.

Magor, a Putfontein resident, was arrested on November 26 after Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi opened a case of crimen injuria against her at Boksburg North SAPS.

Boksburg North SAPS Vispol commander Lieutenant Colonel Thembi Skhosana then apprehended Magor in Putfontein and the case was transferred to Putfontein SAPS.

She was released on the same day on a warning to appear in court on March 27, 2023.

In the voice note, Magor can allegedly be heard saying, “What I say is ban the black man. They rape, they steal, they kill, worse than any pit bull could, and they get away with it. Ban those that are making the laws, ban Ekurhuleni, ban the black man. Get all the black women and cut out their uteruses and their ovaries so that they cannot procreate because they will all turn out the same because they are all the same. I’m very passionate about this. Ban them, kill them, shoot them. Get rid of them because they are the problem. Not pit bulls, not animals. Animals are beautiful, and they deserve a warm bed, food, love and attention and everything else. God created those animals. Who created the black man, do you think God? I don’t think so.”
