Three robbers made off with goods to the value of about R342 000 during a business robbery at Vape King at the Ravenswood Shopping Centre on the morning of October 21.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Constable Justice Ramaube, a security guard told police while he was patrolling, he noted somebody cutting the gate lock. There was also a white Toyota Quantum at the gate.
“The security guard alleged two men suddenly approached him and pinned him to the floor. They searched him, took his cell phone and told him ‘to behave’.
“The Quantum then drove inside and stopped next to Vape King. Later, the vehicle pulled up at the gate again to collect the two men who were restraining the security guard and the vehicle left. The security guard pressed a panic button and then realised the vape store had been robbed,” said Ramaube.
The security guard did not see any firearms on the men.
The suspects escaped with a TV, a two-seater couch, a Lenovo ThinkPad and vape juice, among other items.
Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
