Owned by the Mandraj family, the business runs like clockwork under the watchful eye of operating partners Tashvir Mandraj and his mother, Simi Mandraj. This dynamic mom-and-son duo have taken the business to extraordinary heights over the past decade. Tashvir says their recipe for success is that Engen Summerfields is, in its entirety, a family-driven business model.

We aim to exceed customer expectations by delivering service excellence at all times, whether you want to fill up with fuel, visit our Quickshop or entrust your vehicle to us at our carwash,” he said. Not only do mom and son run the daily operations as partners – for which they have earned an exceptional track record, both with the Engen brand and customers – community is also very close to their hearts.
“This is not just a business. We are very much a community-based and driven organisation and believe in giving back. In so doing, we undertake ongoing charity work to help those in need in the community we serve,” Simi said.
“We felt it important to continue this passion of ours through awarding R5 000 of the money we’re giving away as part of our birthday celebration to a charity of the winner’s choice. It is so exciting and we cannot wait to draw the winning entry on December 21.
