Benoni City Times is on scene near the Voortrekker Road bridge where two multi-vehicle accidents have led to the N12 west between Snake Road and Tom Jones off-ramps being closed to all traffic.
A car has just been freed from between two trucks and there are reportedly two deceased occupants.

What we know so far:
• According to a source on the scene, the first accident involved an empty coal truck, a truck carrying wood and a vehicle just after the Voortrekker Road bridge. This happened at about 11:20.
• The wood truck veered off the road. Wood was strewn over the highway and the truck ended up in dense undergrowth on the side of the road.
• Two other trucks then collided and at least five other cars were also involved. A vehicle was trapped between two trucks that had collided. The wreckage of the car has been removed.
• Some minor injuries were also reported, as well as minor damage to other vehicles involved.
