BAC applauds its top performers

Boksburg Athletic Club (BAC) hosted a celebratory dinner at Dias 88 in Boksburg to honour its Comrades and Two Oceans marathon athletes.

The event showcased the club’s pride in its runners who demonstrated exceptional dedication and resilience throughout the races.

Caronn Harris, BAC secretary, said while many of their athletes performed exceptionally well, others faced challenges.

“Some were unable to start due to injuries, while others had to withdraw during the race.

“Despite these setbacks, the club remains proud of every member’s effort. Giving their best is what truly matters.”
She added that BAC continues to thrive as one of the top athletic clubs in the region.

“The club is eager to welcome new members for the upcoming year and maintains a robust training schedule with sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Weekly club runs further foster community spirit among members.

“The BAC is committed to supporting its runners through various initiatives, including sponsoring Comrades gifts and hosting an annual breakfast for participants.

“We are optimistic about increasing participation and achieving even more finishes in next year’s events.”
