Woodlands International Football Academy (WIFA) U7 recently secured a hard-fought victory over Benoni Northerns, winning 1-0 in the semi-finals held at their opponents’ home ground.
Coach Ingrid Ruiter praised her team’s resilience, highlighting the tough nature of the match.
“It was a tough game, but in the end, the best team pulled through.
“The players showcased their skills amidst intense competition, with hard tackles and strategic plays dominating the field.
“The victory not only marked a significant achievement for WIFA but also instilled a sense of pride among the players and coaching staff.”
Ruiter pointed out that the win sets WIFA on a path to the finals scheduled for October 6, where they will aim to continue their successful run.
“It makes you feel happy and proud to be part of the winning team,” Ruiter added, expressing her excitement for the upcoming match.
