Community of Hope hosts joyful event for local children with CFC International

The initiative, led by centre manager Elaine Appies, has been ongoing for four years and focuses on bringing joy and support to the community through acts of kindness.

Community of Hope Multipurpose Centre welcomed pastors and visitors from the Christian Family Church International (CFC) to enrich the lives of local children in Reiger Park on September 26.

“The day was filled with laughter and excitement as the children were treated to snacks, toys and Christian interventions,” Appies shared.

The CFC together with the children and staff members of the multipurpose centre who were part of the event.

She expressed her gratitude towards the guests, noting, “We warmly welcomed the guests who have been instrumental in providing Christmas gifts and meals to local kids over the years.

“The children showcased their talents by entertaining the guests.”

Appies remarked on the joyful atmosphere, saying it “highlighted the community’s spirit.”

“In addition to the children’s performances, a local artist captivated the young audience with one of his beloved songs, further enhancing the festive mood of the occasion.

“The event not only strengthened community bonds but also emphasised the importance of support and joy in the lives of local children.”
