Karateka win at South Gauteng champs

“I’m proud of these students.”

Tenshinkan Karate’s Carmen Griggs and Jeandre Liebenberg helped the club to four medals during the South Gauteng Championships on August 3. Griggs grabbed a pair of silvers in kata and kumite while Liebenberg won a gold in kata and silver in kumite. “I’m proud of these students,” said chief instructor shihan Catherine Venter. She said the karateka are already preparing for the national championships scheduled for August 31.
