Keep on supporting our Winter Wool Project

Urban Ruins and CANSA have benefitted from the project.

Community members have until July 31 to support the Boksburg Advertiser’s Winter Wool Project.

Wool donations will help the publication support various local groups that knit teddies and other items for distribution to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) and organisations that look after the underprivileged, especially in winter.

All qualities, quantities and textures are welcome.

Apart from CANSA, Urban Ruins has benefited from the project this year.

The Advertiser thanks community members like Yvonne Pohl (88) from Boksburg Society For The Aged (Cosmos Old Age Home) for contributing towards the initiative.

Project coordinator Elize Kluyts, who is the Advertiser’s advertising manager, said a donations of wool and knitted and crocheted items have been flowing in this year.
“We’re thankful that the public is opening their hearts to those in need,” she said.
Kluyts urged residents to keep the wool donations coming.
