Local accountant aims for star status

SterStatus aims at empowering young women in the entertainment industry.

Proving that accountants are not all work and no play, Atlasville’s Izelle Botes is competing in the sixth season of the reality competition SterStatus on ETV Openview.

SterStatus was created to empower young women in the entertainment industry through training and strong brand alignment with big role players in the country.

Participants are taught and challenged to make use of the tools given to maximise their potential and get noticed in the right circles.

The winner of the competition will also get the opportunity to present the next season.

Botes, an accountant at Caxton Local Media, said she’s honoured to be part of the show.

“I haven’t been this excited about an initiative in a long time, and I look forward to every project. We will also be doing charity work,” she said.

Information about when the programme will air is not available yet.
