The Boksburg Cardinals capped off their successful season after being named Club of the Season at the Gauteng Province Baseball Council (GPBC) awards at the Theatre de Marcellus at Emperors Palace on March 17.

The team ended their dominant season with two league titles and two GPBC cup trophies. They won the U15 league and cup, clinched the U12 cup and won the U10 league to end the year with four trophies.

The GPBC president, Dean McKinnon, said they held the ceremony to honour junior players for exceptional performances and commitment during the season.
