This publication has been inundated with complaints from frustrated readers who have been battling to get through to Tambo Memorial Hospital to either make enquires, make appointments or get updates on their admitted relatives.
The hospital confirmed that the facility did have telephone issues at the weekend. Although the problem was, according to management, attended to and telephone services were restored, it appears that the intermittent telephone problems still persist as people were still unable to call through to the hospital on February 27.
The hospital management urges residents to use the following alternative numbers to call through to the facility: 060 543 0584 or 011 892 0209.
