Sixteen teams consisting of eight U15 male and female teams from Gauteng, showcased their talents on the sunny day at WJ Clements Stadium.

The first teams to open the third leg of the league were Tembisa High School and Curro Academy from Soshanguve. The first half ended with a Curro leading 1-0.

On the other field, it was Jabulile Secondary School and Thandi Eleanor Sibeko Secondary School. It was a tough game for Thandi Eleanor as Jabulile girls were leading by 2-0 with only a few minutes before the game ended.

According to the organiser of the league, Thabang Ramaboya, they are trying to promote a healthy lifestyle among the children and also present them with an opportunity to show their talent.

“We also invite big teams to scout for any players that might attract their attention, so that at the end of the tournament they can choose players to join their teams, and today we are joined by TUT and TUKS.” said Ramaboya.

The top three on the girls’ log is Jabulile Secondary School in the top position, followed by Kwadedangangendlale Secondary School, and Khanya-Lesedi Secondary School in the third position.
