Carnival City’s opera treat
The cast includes opera heavyweights Loveline Madumo, Linette van der Merve, Sbani Mwelase, Lethokuhle Skosana, Tracey Lee Booyens and the Ijadu Chorus.
Opera lovers are in for a treat when the full concert version of the opera, Cavalleria Rusticana, is performed at Carnival City’s Mardi Gras Theatre.
Directed by Bongani Vilakazi, the cast includes opera heavyweights Loveline Madumo, Linette van der Merve, Sbani Mwelase, Lethokuhle Skosana, Tracey Lee Booyens and the Ijadu Chorus.
Vilakazi previously directed operas such as Carmen, La Bohème and many more.
The show starts at 19:00.
