Make sure your pet is vaccinated

Vaccinate your animals at a special price for one week only

The Boksburg SPCA has organised a one-week vaccinations special which runs from 08:00 to 16:00, until May 6, at the animal welfare premises on Kruger Street.

The objective is to improve the health of animals.

“We do get little profit from the initiative, but the goal is to have healthier animals out there,” said SPCA manager Vicky Finnemore.

The special offers a five-in-one vaccination for R150, a microchip for R150, and a vaccine against rabies for R50.

They only vaccinate sterilised pets. However, if your pets aren’t sterilised, you need to contractually agree and pay upfront for the sterilisation of the pets before vaccination can be administered.

Visitors are also offered the opportunity to tour the facility where the team educates them on why adopting a pet is better than buying.

“The initiative has so far had a good turnout. We appreciate that because it shows how people care about their pets,” added Finnemore.

The Boksburg SPCA encourages people to adopt pets which are in desperate need of a new home and have their pets sterilised to stop unwanted breeding.
