Cosmos in need of assistance

The Boksburg Society for the Aged would like to thank the community that supported Cosmos Old Age Home through the challenging times.

Cosmos Old Age Home in Van Dyk Park is in need of the community’s assistance to meet obligations and keep rendering services.

Due to Covid-19, the organisation is finding it difficult to provide services of a high standard and to keep all their projects functioning. Children of its residents have lost their jobs and are still finding it difficult to pay for boarding and lodging.

Cosmos Old Age Home is presently caring for approximately 40 senior citizens that have no or little financial support and have approximately 200 residents that are in need of frail care.

Furthermore, the Boksburg Society for the Aged has suffered tremendous financial loss due to the fact that they had to abandon fundraising projects.

They request the following support:

Crockery (soup and porridge bowls), medium coffee mugs, white side plates, 23 cm dinner plates, cutlery (dinner knives, forks and dessert spoons), adult diapers (M, L, XL), toiletries (shampoo, bath soap, acquis cream, body lotion, deodorant spray and disposable razors), instant maize porridge and cold drink

A Section 18A receipt can be issued should any cash or donations be made to the Boksburg Society for the Aged.
