Lucky winner gets the keys to a new car

You had to buy a set of pots to enter the competition.

Tshivhonammbi Lidiavhathu is the proud owner of a new Suzuki Swift, thanks to Hendler & Hart and Game stores.
Lidiavhathu was handed the car on July 13 at Game East Rand Mall after entering a competition by purchasing a Hart 10-piece set of pots at a Game store.

“Winning the car is a dream come true. I have a 2008 Corsa bakkie that I use for work, but it is difficult to use when you have a family to transport.

“My bakkie lacks a canopy, which makes it dangerous for my daughters to sit in the back. This new car will keep my family safe and make my life a lot easier,” said Lidiavhathu.

Hendler & Hart head of marketing Mbali Mahlori said 2022 is a big year for Hart as they celebrate their 130th birthday.

“As a heritage brand, we were clear on how we wanted to celebrate this huge milestone, precisely by giving back to our customers who have supported us throughout the years.

“The competition is one of many projects undertaken by the company to give back. Another important project, this time closer to home, involves collaborating with the Wattville community in Benoni, an informal settlement near the company’s factory, which employs 380 people.

“After speaking with community leaders, they identified the need for an additional recreational park. As a result, we are committed to finishing the park in the coming months, which will include a braai area, soccer field, and gym facilities for both children and adults,” said Mahlori.

Mahlori pointed out that they have also started a national spaza shop branding campaign in which they allow local community graffiti artists to showcase their skills by painting spaza shops.

“With this initiative, we are addressing the issue of unemployed youth by providing artists with hope, purpose, and a voice through their art,” said Mahlori.
