Pick n Pay treats Kuselo on Mandela Day

July 18 is international Mandela Day and the birthday of the late former President Nelson Mandela.

The Pick n Pay Hypermarket, at Eastpoint Centre spent their 67 minutes for Mandela Day assisting Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services on July 18.

Representatives from the hypermarket cleaned the yard outside the organisation and donated items like brand-new clothing, nappies, lunch for the children, juice and a special Mandela cake.

The branch’s customer service manager, Maggie Malapela, explained Pick n Pay is a caring company that wanted to honour Mandela’s legacy and that of Pick n Pay.

“Kuselo is a place of safety for abused and abandoned children, and we wanted to support them. We also know Madiba loved children,” she explained.

Founder of Kuselo Amanda Coetzee expressed her gratitude towards Pick n Pay – for their commitment and generosity.
